Hi, I’m Monique – wife, mama to a spirited toddler, and the heart behind Board in SLO.

​

I’ve called the Central Coast home since 2015, and I can’t imagine living anywhere else. Surrounded by its beauty and vibrant food culture, I discovered something I didn’t know about myself: I love styling and design. What began as a creative outlet quickly grew into Board in SLO, where I realized how much joy I find in turning food into artful, elegant experiences.

I didn’t always know what I wanted to do career-wise, but building this business showed me my true passion—creating beautiful, meaningful gatherings through food. Today, I’m grateful to call this my full-time work and to share it with my community.

From weddings and baby showers to corporate events, divorce parties, or even a cozy night in with friends, every spread I make is crafted with care, creativity, and plenty of love.
